Week of March 27th

This week my group didn't really do much but planning.  We checked out a camera last week to get our film started, but that didn't go well with the whole idea of showing Los Angeles and its main attractions.  We got to Los Angeles and thought it was going to be a piece of cake, but it was harder than we thought.  So this week we were planning one music video and one PSA.  The guys in our group didn't really do much last semester so we kicked them out.  This got them to work right away and they have their ideas done with; therefore, they are back in the group.  We will start filing next week for sure.  We have the story board ready for the PSA and hopefully the storyboard for the music video is done with today.

What Music Means to Me

I would always say that I like to listen to any type of music.  Then Mr. Lansdown made a great statement saying "there's no way you could listen to every genre out there; there's too many!"  I think about it differently now.  I listen to different type of music depending on the mood I am in.  I am always with my earphones in school after second period.  I have AP Lit for first and Econ for second, and after that I don't have any important classes.  Though, I do find Film class important and interesting, I could listen to music at times. Like right now while I am writing this blog, I am listening to music. Music means a lot to me and I don't know what I would do without music.  Not a day goes by that I don't listen to music.  I listen to R&B, hip-hop, rap, bachata, and other spanish music.  One of my favorite artists is Miguel: one of the best artists out there.  I don't listen to rock unless I'm with my  brother, and he puts me in a depressing mood.

Problems & Struggles

I am thankful for the life I have and not one second do I take my life for granted.  Many students at Bell High go through many hardships and they differ from one another.  I don't think there are any bullies at Bell High, so I don't think that's the school's problem.  But hanging around with the different crowd can be the problem.  Since I am in a sport, I think that I went in the right direction because i don't get into trouble.  If I were to get in trouble, it would cost us some running some lines on the court or even suspension or expulsion from the basketball program.  O                                         ne thing that most have a problem is keeping up their grades.  I don't have a problem keeping my grades because I have never gotten lower than a C, but I am pretty lazy after a long hard practice in the gym.  Another situation they can approach is having problems with their family at home which may cause the student to bring it to school.

The Most Interesting Person in the World

The most interesting person in the world is my best friend Jacqueline Esparza.  I never get tired of her.  You could say I tell her everything; she doesn't know everything about me, but she knows the most important qualities and stories about me.  I met her when I entered high school because she was also in basketball.  We've been best friends ever since.  Although she quit basketball, she still attends most of my games and is my number one fan. We always have something to talk about and I feel that we have a rare connection that you couldn't find anywhere else.  I don't think I'll ever find someone as interesting and caring like her. I also hope she stays in my life forever.  She is leaving to Humboldt next semester and I don't know how I'll survive without her close to me.  We'll manage to see each other in vacations and nothing is impossible.  I hope she transfers back to Los Angeles in two years so we can share more memories together.
