Undeserved Misfortune
Undeserved Misfortune is when someone experiences something they didn't deserve to happen to them. Theseus, the main character in Immortals, has his mother killed right in front of him. He clearly didn't deserve this because he was just an ordinary peasant. He had no intentions in killing anyone, but he takes advantage of this situation to go out of his way to get revenge on the person who killed his mother. At the end of the movie he gets to what he wants but he dies in the process. The enemy had a big army compared to Theseus' army, but that didn't stop Theseus. Although he had a little bit of people on his side, the Gods were watching over him and protecting his every move. Mr. Lansdown lost my project, Love and Basketball Storyboard, and i don't deserve this because I have a B for the class. I should have an A for this class, this is the only B I have for this semester and that makes me very angry/sad. And i know you're reading this Mr. Lansdown so you better find my project or theres gonna be undeserved misfortune going your way.. jk Mister i love you :) no but i'm pretty serious you're ruining my report card.

Conflict
The conflict in I Am Legend interests me. The movie escalates as the star actor, Will Smith, plays his part very well. The biggest conflict in the movie must be the plague that made the entire New York City run wild. The story transitions from the present to the past constantly to reveal the story why Will Smith is all alone in a big city. Technically he's not alone because he has other "people" that have a virus roaming around the city. He has been alone for many years, but his radio station allows him to communicate with others(if there is any others). He stayed in New York to help find a cure. He has gone crazy as he speaks to mannequins in stores. He can't stay out that long at night because the ones with the disease will catch him. A conflict that I have encountered would be having trouble juggling my basketball season with my academic classes my junior year. For the most part, all my teammates were off track and didn't have to go through what I went through. An idea for a film can be about a student who is having too much trouble in school that drops out. His mom passes away and her only dream was for him to finish high school. However, it was too late for him to go back to school.

My Film Job
I would like for my film job to be editor. I'm not very creative with coming up with ideas, but I sure know my way behind a computer. I have used the Mac movie editor program before so I think it would come in handy when editing films. Acting, nonetheless, is a scary feeling because I am not really use to being recorded. I am use to being on the background. My brother has a Mac desktop and I hope he could let me borrow it when I can't access one after school. I will be busy for the next couple of months because of Basketball season; therefore, I won't be able to make it to all the screening. Being the editor, I don't always have to be present. Although I would love being present, I don't get out of practice until six thirty latest when the sun goes down based on the daylight savings time now. I have edited movies before when my family gets together and watches films of our childhood and past.

My Review of the Elephant Man
I think David Lynch is a brilliant man. The Elephant Man was an exceptional movie that deserved many academy awards, but only got as far as getting eight nominations and not one award. This movie was really touching and heart felt movie. I don't think it only touched me, but my classmates as well. Personally I loved the movie for its creativity and make up. After reviewing the movie after finishing it, I thought more about the mysteries of life and if people are morally good or bad people. The Elephant Man is about a deformed man who seeks for help to get cured. He is treated like a circus freak and is frequently being beat by Mr. Bytes. Here comes Dr. Frederick Treves to the rescue and takes him to a care facility. Dr. Treves and others eventually learn that he is human and he does humanly things such as: speak, write and build models. David Lynch made the Elephant Man as an ugly christ symbol for a reason. He is ugly and deformed because of the fact that the world is ugly as well, meaning that there are some good things on this planet that eventually turned bad. At the end of this movie, John Merrick dies in his sleep because he wanted to sleep like everyone else.

My Name is John Merrick
Today is the beginning of a new life or so I believe. I was rescued by Dr. Frederick Treves, he is the real hero. In the morning I went to a room full of doctors that hopefully are able to cure me. They opened the curtain and I was revealed to the men. "Turn around," Treves demanded. I hate those words, I am not a freak. I was not put on this planet for everyones convenience. I am not an animal. I am a human being. I am a man! I leave the room to get home to Mr. Bytes. He demanded to know where I was, but I did not speak a word to him. He started hitting me as if I was some sort of animal. I felt weak and horrible. The little boy leaves to get help out there, while I wait at home with Mr. Bytes. The little boy gets home with Dr. Frederick Treves, my fellow hero. He takes me out of that place immediately as he notices that I am not treated fairly. I am now settled in the watch tower, hopefully my friend, Dr. Frederick Treves can cure me.

Welcome to my nightmare
Fear. What is fear? Has something happened to you that scarred you for the rest of your life? I think my biggest fear is losing my mom, some of my friends lost my mom at a young age and I notice them struggle in life. I don't know what I would do without my mom in my life. I have never had this dream more than once, but once was enough for me. I can't ever say I take my mom for granted because I love and respect her. I once had this dream where I was eight years old. In this dream I was the last one to know that my mom had cancer. I got home from school and it was weird because my mom didn't pick me up, but it was my dad who chose to pick me up. I get home to an empty house which was weird because my mom was always there when I got home. Later my dad tells me that we were going somewhere. We ended up going to the hospital and we saw my brother there as well. We go inside this room where they had my mom laying on a bed and I ran to her because I was so happy to see her. She was having trouble keeping her eyes open and she tells me that I need to listen to my dad and brother and do whatever they tell me to do. She starts telling me do be a good girl and get into a good college when I'm older. I start asking her questions but she couldn't just answer me until my dad pulls me away. He told me that my mom wasn't going to be with us anymore. I start to cry and I ran to my mom. That's when I woke up and I ran to go see if my mom was okay and she was. I know we all die at one point, but I don't want to go through the process where I witness my mom pass away.

Compassionate Science
Many people are passionate about what they do, socially and physically. But are they all in it for the money? Or do they wish to make the world out there a better place. I play basketball while I am in high school and can't wait for my fourth and final year to play. I am passionate about basketball, it is something about the sport that takes me elsewhere. I am sure other athletes at Bell High School feel the same way I do. However, I do not plan on playing college ball because of the fact that I want my education to come first. Basketball would take me nowhere considering the fact that I might get injured, I may retire too early etc. I want to be a science anthropologist. That has always been my dream and I hope to accomplish it. Now I am not in it because of the money, although they do get a high payroll. I am in it because I am passionate about the study of the human body and I hope to solve many crime scenes. I believe if I had the power to change the world, I would. Whether I want to or not is not really the question, but if others are willing to put up their time and effort. If no one were to pay attention to me about what I would like to change about the world, there would be no point in doing anything.

The Future
In a hundred years from now I am going to be dead. I'm positive I won't make it to one hundred and seventeen years of age. I'm lucky if I make it to one hundred. But what does the future hold you may ask? I have an idea of the future to be what most of us think it will be. I think the future is going to have flying cars. The flying cars are not going to run on gas, but on energy. The cars are going to be solar powered as well as everything else. Electricity bill? Yeah I don't think so. Every time I go online and read the headlines, I read some intelligent student creating a robot crane, car, truck, etc. I also believe that there will be robots helping us through our daily lives. Some movies predicted the future before and some movies today may have an impact on the future. There would be a lot more buildings than there are now. Of course the price of the dollar is going to go up, but for the most part everything will be affordable. Well the things we need are going to be affordable, the things we want is something else.

Funny Moment
I remember this like it was just yesterday. This was around last school year when I was a junior as well as my other friend, Jackie. We were in the lockers and we had finished dressing to go sign in and practice. My other friend screams out my name because she wanted us two to wait for her to go sign in all together. As we were waiting for her to get ready she makes this comment about her legs and i made fun of her. I compared her legs to cottage cheese, but I was playing around. Jackie had agreed with me and started laughing and I couldn't hold in my laugh either so I started cracking up. The other friend was laughing as well and we made other comments that made her laugh. At one point my friend was leaning against the lockers and says "stop guys I'm gonna pee!" We kept laughing until she farts! I ran off to the restroom because I was going to pee myself. I couldnt stop laughing in the restroom then I washed my hands and went back to the lockers to find my other friend laughing and confused at the same time. She says "why are you guys laughing, I don't get it." that made me laugh more because of the fact that she wanted to play it off. I had to stop laughing because I didn't want to make her feel bad for farting in front of us. We didn't talk about it after, but I talk to Jackie about it and all we do is laugh nonstop.

Modern Times Review
Modern Times is a "silent" movie that was casted to show how people use to work in the 1920's. Charlie Chaplin starred as well as produced this film. I was never into silent movies, didn't think they would be as great as movies with sound. Modern Times was a really great movie in my perspective. It was my first silent movie and the first time I saw Charlie Chaplin on screen. I might look into these type of films because I liked the movie from beginning to end. It had funny moments as well as some grief moments. At the end of the movie Charlie wanted the audience to feel the need to smile as he thought not every movie had to have a sad ending. For the most part the film kept me laughing. Charlie Chaplin really put a lot of thought into the movie, but from what I have heard of him, it must of come naturally to someone like him. I recommend this film to anyone of all ages, you can never go wrong with Charlie Chaplin.

What are your thoughts on bullying?
I can’t say I go to a school where there are bullies. Maybe a few people taunt and make fun of others, but those
people usually know each other. Sure
some people might get offended more than others, but I really don’t consider
that bullying. Bullying isn’t the
problem in our school. Although I haven’t
witnessed bullying happening in my school, I have seen it happen in movies and
television shows. i cant really
name them right now. Bullying is unnecessary in many ways and can lead to
bigger problems in one’s life. “I didn’t
mean it.” says the bully that was accused of someone’s suicide. People think of bullying as just
physically beating someone up, but bullying can either be done physically,
verbally and through the Internet.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, along with many other websites
and apps are some ways cyber bullying is done today. All I can say is that bullying
has to come to an end and schools have to take bullying more seriously. Students need discipline and control to
keep them from bullying and harming others.
Favorite Movie
My favorite movie that I have no trouble watching over and over has
to be The Odd Life of Timothy Green. I cannot begin to explain why I
love this movie so much. Every time I watch this movie, I cry. This
movie is about a boy that was born in the backyard of this couple who
is not able to have kids for some reason. He is created in this box
as an ideal child that one of the spouses wish to have. It is an
interesting movie that I recommend for anyone to watch on his or her
spare time. I have seen this movie several times that I cannot even
remember how many times I saw it. Of course it’s a fictional story
because no kid is born like that, but my aunt went through the same
problem. She couldn’t have a child of her own and she tries anything
possible to adopt a child that does not have a home and needs some
love and companionship.
